The rapid development of information and communication technology has increased the importance of computer networks in supporting educational activities, particularly within digital learning environments. Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure plays a crucial role in facilitating communication, data sharing, and internet access within schools. However, the increasing network traffic and growing number of connected devices often cause several issues, such as unstable connections, inefficient bandwidth distribution, and decreased network performance.This study aims to analyze the condition of the Local Area Network (LAN) on the second floor of the elementary school building at Citra Bangsa School 2 Campus. The research focuses on several aspects, including network topology, network configuration, network performance, traffic analysis, IP address distribution, network security, and network device performance. The research method used is a descriptive method with qualitative and quantitative approaches through observation, documentation, and network testing using speed tests and command line interface (CLI). The results of the study indicate that the network infrastructure generally functions properly and is capable of effectively supporting teaching and learning activities. The network utilizes a star topology, which simplifies network management and troubleshooting processes. However, the study also identified several weaknesses, such as the absence of VLAN segmentation, high traffic loads during peak usage periods, and potential bottlenecks on the main switch. Therefore, network optimization is required through the implementation of VLANs, bandwidth management, enhanced network security, and network device upgrades to improve overall network stability, efficiency, and performance within the school environment.
