Peer Review Process
LABIQA: Journal of Informatics and Information Technology applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, objectivity, and academic integrity of all published articles. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential.
Review Stages

Initial Editorial Screening
All submitted manuscripts are first evaluated by the editor to assess their relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, compliance with the author guidelines, and adherence to ethical and academic standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage. -
Similarity Check
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are checked for originality using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with unacceptable similarity levels may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected. -
Peer Review Assignment
Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who have expertise relevant to the manuscript’s subject area. Reviewers are selected from different institutions to ensure objectivity. -
Peer Review Evaluation
Reviewers assess the manuscript based on originality, methodological rigor, relevance, clarity of presentation, and contribution to the field of Informatics and Information Technology. Reviewers provide constructive comments and recommendations. -
Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ evaluations, the editor makes one of the following decisions:-
Accepted

Accepted with Minor Revision

Accepted with Major Revision

Rejected

Revision by Authors
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ and editor’s comments and submit a revised version within the specified timeframe. -
Final Decision
The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief after all revisions have been satisfactorily addressed.
Review Timeline
The average review process takes approximately 4–6 weeks, depending on the responsiveness of reviewers and authors.
