Peer Review Process

Every manuscript submitted to Labiqa Journal of Legal Studies undergoes a rigorous and objective peer-review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

All submissions are initially evaluated by the editorial team to assess suitability, formatting, plagiarism screening, and compliance with the journal guidelines. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be reviewed through a double-blind peer review process, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review procedure.

Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the topic of the paper. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodological quality, clarity of analysis, contribution to legal scholarship, and relevance to contemporary legal issues.

Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial decision may include:

  • Accepted without revision
  • Accepted with minor revisions
  • Accepted with major revisions
  • Rejected

The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief and editorial board. The journal is committed to maintaining ethical publishing standards, confidentiality, and fairness throughout the review process.
