Peer Review Process

JEMTRAMAS (Journal of Community Service and Community Partnership) applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, validity, and relevance of all manuscripts submitted to the journal.

Each submitted manuscript undergoes the following stages:

  1. Initial Editorial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief or assigned Section Editor evaluates the manuscript for scope relevance, compliance with author guidelines, ethical standards, and plagiarism screening. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s focus and technical requirements will be returned to the authors or rejected at this stage.

  2. Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. The identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process.

  3. Review Criteria
    Reviewers assess manuscripts based on:

    • Relevance to community service (PkM) and community partnership

    • Clarity of problem identification and objectives

    • Appropriateness of methods and implementation strategies

    • Quality and measurability of outcomes and impact

    • Sustainability and replicability of the program

    • Academic writing quality and use of references

  4. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions:
Accept, Accept with Minor Revisions, Accept with Major Revisions, or Reject.

  5. Revision and Final Decision
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ comments. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the reviewers for re-evaluation if necessary. The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief.

  6. Publication
Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout editing, and proofreading before being published in the scheduled issue.

The journal ensures that the peer review process is conducted objectively, transparently, and fairly, in accordance with ethical standards of scholarly publishing and the principles of academic integrity.
