LABIQA Journal of Health Sciences (LJHS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. Duties of Authors

Authors are expected to:

  • Submit original manuscripts that have not been published or submitted elsewhere.
  • Present accurate and reliable research findings without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation.
  • Properly acknowledge the work of others through appropriate citations and references.
  • Ensure that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the research and approve the final manuscript.
  • Disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that may influence the research.
  • Obtain ethical approval and informed consent when research involves human participants or animals, where applicable.
  • Promptly notify the editor if a significant error is discovered after publication.

Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for:

  • Making publication decisions based solely on the manuscript's academic merit, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope.
  • Conducting a fair, unbiased, and confidential editorial process.
  • Ensuring that manuscripts are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process.
  • Avoiding conflicts of interest and maintaining editorial independence.
  • Taking appropriate action in cases of suspected research misconduct or ethical violations.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely reviews.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all manuscripts under review.
  • Identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.
  • Inform the editor of any potential conflicts of interest or suspected ethical issues.
  • Refrain from using unpublished information for personal advantage.

Publication Misconduct

The journal does not tolerate any form of publication misconduct, including plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, citation manipulation, and unethical research practices. Proven cases of misconduct may result in manuscript rejection, article retraction, or other appropriate actions in accordance with COPE guidelines.
