Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to LABIQA Journal of Health Sciences (LJHS) undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, validity, and scientific significance of the published articles.

The review process consists of the following steps:

1. Initial Editorial Assessment
   The Editor-in-Chief or Handling Editor evaluates the manuscript for its suitability with the journal's focus and scope, originality, scientific quality, and compliance with the author guidelines.

2. Plagiarism Screening
   All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a high level of similarity or evidence of plagiarism will be rejected or returned to the authors for revision.

3. Double-Blind Peer Review
   Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous throughout the review process.

4. Review Decision
   Based on the reviewers' comments and recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions:

   • Accept

   • Minor Revision

   • Major Revision

   • Reject

5. Revision by Authors
   Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers' and editors' comments within the specified deadline.

6. Final Decision
   The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision after evaluating the revised manuscript and the reviewers' recommendations.

The average review process takes approximately 4–8 weeks, depending on the availability of reviewers and the quality of the submitted manuscript.
